Principal for a Day - Each year schools in the district invite community leaders to serve as co-principals for a day. These guest principals see first hand the strengths and needs of our schools and develop a greater appreciation for the work of educators and support staff. Education Business Advisory - The mission of the EBA is to create partnerships with community, business and educational institutions to provide real learning experiences through the integration of academic and technical content, reinforced through work-based learning. In order to prepare students for the 21st Century the need for a business advisory became essential. Thus, the Education Business Advisory was created.

Education Celebration. Parents and students are invited to learn about magnet schools, special programs and enrollment options available in the Long Beach Unified School District at this event. Call the Magnet Office for information at 997-8308.
Business Partners. Our schools have formed more than 1,000 Educational Partnerships with business and industry. They provide guest speakers and encourage students to learn. If your company would like information on how to participate, call your nearest school.
Rotary Readers. In local elementary schools, more than 100 Rotary Readers are trained to help children improve their reading skill in kindergarten through third grades. For information call (562) 436-8181.
