Translation / Interpretation

Equity, Engagement & Partnerships Translation Unit

The Translation and Interpretation Unit is available to provide support and language assistance for Interpretation (oral) or Translation (written) needs. Language serves as a bridge between cultures and is a tool for communication.  In order to ensure that all stakeholders are fully able to participate, we fulfill requests for (oral) Interpretation (e.g., IEPs, parent/teacher conferences, Board meetings, etc.) and for Translation of written materials.

Requests for Interpretation (oral) or Translation (written documents) should be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance.

Note: Office of School Support Services (OSSS)

Note: OSSS - Office of School Support Services no longer translates the actual IEP's but they do translate related assessment reports like pyschological assessments and speech/language assessments.  Please contact Barbara Palafox at Ext.8633 or email her at
