Millikan High School was one of 24 high schools honored in the 2022-23 Race to Submit campaign for having the highest financial aid application completion rates in the state of California.
Race to Submit, sponsored by the California Student Aid Commission, aims to increase the number of high school seniors who complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).
About 75% of Millikan seniors completed a FAFSA or CADAA, according to the campaign dashboard, which tracked 2022-23 application submission and completion rates, as well as the number of Cal Grant award offers per school.
Polytechnic High School was also listed on this year’s Race to Submit leaderboard. With a 69.7% completion rate, Poly ranked within the top 10 statewide high schools for the level eight category, recognizing schools with an enrollment count greater than or equal to 801.
